Key Elements of Training How to get where you want to go (Game plan) (Module 1) Graduates will be enabled to identify and appreciate their career prospects in the diverse prospects. It is frustrating for an employer to hire someone who is at crossroads in his/her career. The benefit of this module is that it helps the trainees to identify the career they want to pursue and then develop strategies of developing it. Career choice and development is entirely a game plan, success of the same depends on preparation and execution of the plan. Court Your Prospective Employer With "The" Right Resume (Module 2) How often do you throw away people's resumes because you cannot make sense out them? Do you realize that this act could make you let go of one of the best? It is a fact that resumes are the first we base on while short listing candidates for a job. How they impress us at first sight makes a big difference. But which course teaches resume writing? Apparently non, so no wonder they look the way they do. This module is meant to present the trainees with skills relevant to present "the" resume relevant to your demands/requirements. The nightmare of looking at resumes that are weird is going to begin taking a walk……….!

Following proper techniques, preparing well and using some easy tips will ensure that you are given the highest consideration from prospective employers. Come to this interactive interview skills workshop to learn what you need to do to land your dream job fast! Self Employment (Module 4) If you have been dreaming about starting your business; you will need to decide on what type of business you are to start, collect information and plan, accessing local resources, understanding steps to starting your business, reality check involving: - hard work, potential for failure, market demand. Labour Market Stakeholders briefing (Module 5) To promote human rights, Social security, safety and health at work. This module will sensitize participants on workplaces, health hazards, work accidents and occupational diseases. Recruitment Drive (Module 6) Here comes an exciting opportunity for employers willing to recruit fresh graduates on the final day or afterwards from Temping's Online Database. Employers will be requested to forward a list of jobs they have prior to the workshop, Temping will then collect CVs from all candidates and will generate a shortlist. Then it will be up to the employer as to when they will carry out the interviews. The job market is flooded by young, enthusiastic graduates from polytechnics, local and foreign universities who compete with retrenched and foreign talent for a shrinking employment pie. To this end gainful employment of the Fresh Graduate is one of Temping's emerging areas of policy concern. |
